Next Homolulu is booked

Sorry for the shorter than normal notice on the next party but Homolulu Presidents had housing turmoil in the last few weeks, Dave moved and I had to move out whilst I had paint, carpeting window tinting and a new roof. So time ran away from us. That said we are now booked for the next Homolulu.
Usual deal bring everything along with including some fold up chairs if you have any. This is a special holiday one for New Year.
It will be held at a holiday rental property in Suffolk Pk.It will be starting later than normal as the boys will not take occupancy of the place until 2pm. So this Homolulu will kick off at 4pm and have a closing time of 9pm. The boys who have rented the house will have only arrived so I figure we should not keep them all up all night..;)

Well what a loverly day our last Homolulu was. Thanks so much to Phil and Colin our hosts and a special Happy Birthday for Colin for holding it on your birthday. Everyone had a great time.

Our Christmas Homolulu Dec 6

Join us at Phil Spencer and Colin Thornton's place for Christmas Homolulu on Sun 6th December from 1pm till sunset.
Enjoy the view over Byron and the South Pacific. BYO own barbeque food, drinks and perhaps a chair if you want to sit! Beach umbrellas are also an idea this time. We thought we could have an array of bright beach umbrellas.

Directions:
100 Coolamon Scenic Drive, Coorabell 1 km from the lookout at the intersection with the highway, above St Helena speed camera, on the ocean side of Coolamon Scenic Dve (Watch for balloons).

You can drive down driveway unload your stuff and then park up the top on a paddock near the road.

What a wonderful Homolulu

Thanks to all who turned up, I think it was 55 over the afternoon. Many many thanks to James and Tony, our hosts for the place for the day. It was a wonderful venue with the sun out, the pool glistening, the view over the farm, all made for a great day. And what about those home made pizzas hot from the wood fired oven? Amazing!!
Everyone is asking when is the next one. Well Dec 6 is the next Homolulu. Hosted by Phil Spencer at his place on Coolomon Scenic Drive. More about that in a couple of days. Check some pics of the day.

HOMOLULU 3 IS HAPPENING.

Tony and James have graciously offered to host our next one. Come along and enjoy the rural surrounds and the pool. As usual it's a byo everything event.

Directions to “Koreelah”

Head out about 3 km past the Arts Factory on Skinners Shoot Rd, turn right into Raywards Lane, dirt road. When you get to the fork in the road, go left, see sign for Koreelah, until you get to the entrance gate (will be open). Follow driveway up to house. Name of property is "Koreelah"

If you need simply cut and paste the above and print out if you need to bring directions with you.

A quick Homolulu arvo

This is the famous train carraige located on the Lismore Road just outside of Bangalow. Thursday October 1 there will be a small Homolulu to check out the site for the new garden centre created by one of the Homolulu founders. You are invited to come see and explore the new space.

Drinks and Nibbles will be served from 5 to 7pm on Thursday October 1. Don't miss out.

Welcome to Homolulu...

This blog is is the creation of a couple of mates who decided to get a few local gay boys togther in our part of the world for a drink somewhere other than the local pub. Whilst we have a huge time at our local pub it was expensive and restrictive. So one of us decided to throw open his front door one afternoon for a few locals to come around for a social afternoon and Homolulu drinks were created. Why Homoluluyou may ask?? After laughing our guts up for hours watching the Catharine Tate show and her character Derek we decided to name it after a gay bar in Spain..

Our first real drinks afternoon will be August 16 from 1pm. It's free and anyone in the Byron Bay Australia area is welcome to come along and meet some of your gay neighbours.
